Yesterday day our class and the class next to us went on a excursion to VSSEC (Victorian Science Spacs Education Centre) and we put on space suits and went into this simulator of us being the control of what happens in the space lab then it was our turn to go in the lab and we did all types of expirments there were filtering and melting ice and a robotic arm. After we did electric expirments with the engineer Chris. The expirments were static electricity and a dancing robot with a closed circuit.
This week I predict for the book The Kazillion Wish
I predict that the kids dad will fall over and that they will get a new word in the kazillion wish.
This week I was character captain in lit circles
I predict that zoopfrog will lead them and zoopfrog will get on the rainbow then the rainbow will disappear. But before then zoopfrog will get the bow and get their kazillion wish.
Here are my leadership words from our principal and a teachers husband who is a police detective.
Set a good example
Stadium overcrowded by
hooligans and fans
Cheering waving flags and
clapping their hands
Players on the field they’re
ready to start
There goes the whistle it pumps
up their hearts
Adding strength to the ball and
kicking it high
The ball travels overhead how
beautiful it can fly
Over center field and still it
Pass received with ease and the
player runs long
There he goes for his
He dribbles through each player
he’s on a roll
He takes the shot and curves it
The keeper dives for it far and
The goalie misses it the balls in
There’s a moment of silence
and no regrets
homophones are words that are the same but have a different meaning or words that sound like each other but have a different meaning
like these ones below
duck and duck. The first duck is the live duck and the second duck is
the duck for cover
Pair and Pear
Caret and Carrot
Fair and Fair
Sidekick and Sidekick
Rose and Rose
They are all good examples of homophones
Homophones aren’t too good because other people may get mixed up which one your talking about.
In science we learnt about shadows. We stood in one spot then someone else in my group traces around my feet with chalk then around my shadow then we wrote our names and wrote the time. An hour later we stood back is the same position as last time then traced around our shadow and then is showers us what happens to our shadows, the sun and the earth
The Suns ray’s are blocked by an object in the middle of the Suns Rays and the ground. When the Rays in blocked it makes a shadow on the ground where the sun is blocked.
